Week of 4-1-19
The family members
In this unit the students will learn to say the titles of their family members, The verb to have, the possessive adjective "mi", the preposition "De" and review descriptions.
This unit will includes our last project for the year.
Each student is ask to bring a picture of his/her family ( the more family members in the picture, the better) and we will talk about our families. All pictures will be return.

Week of 2-11-19
“Descriptions”
In this unit students will learn how to describe fellow classmates, teachers, parents, friends etc.
We will review colors.
We will also review feminine and masculine, singular and plural articles.
El-la-los-las.
Explain that in Spanish the sentences have to match in number and in gender.
If you write a sentence in the singular/feminine everything has to be singular/feminine including the article and the adjective.
If you write a sentence in the masculine/singular everything has to be in the masculine and singular, including the article and the adjective.
Ex.
Sophia es alta y bonita.
Pedro es alto y divertido.
La niña es simpática.
El niño es estudioso.
If you write a sentence in the plural/feminine everything has to be plural/feminine including the article and the adjective.
If you write a sentence in the plural/ masculine everything has to be in the plural

6th grade Unit 4 continues week of 1-18-19
In this unit, the students are writing a book with their 'Chores around the house" vocabulary
Students will use pronouns in the first person of the singular only and verbs in the present time.
Once the book is done, each class will go to the library and read the book they created to an elementary class. Books will be donated to the library after the students are done reading.
Parents are welcome to come and attend their child's very short presentation.
6th grade, Unit 4 week of 1-7-19
Chores around the house
We will continue with the chores around the house vocabulary.
Students will learn to conjugate verbs from the vocabulary, in the first and third person of the singular in the present time only.
The students will create a book, which they will read to elementary school students in the library.
Please send a magazine or a catalog that may contain pictures from the chores vocabulary.
6th grade, Unit 3 week of 11-26-18
Chores around the house
In this unit students will learn how to say the daily chores in Spanish
Students will say which chores they like to do and which one they do not like to do, how often they do their chores.
Who does each chore at home.

8th grade Unit 5 week of 1-18-19
In this unit the students will create a board game based on their vocabulary "The clothing"
All directions, flash cards, writing on the board, examples must be in Spanish.
Game includes
1- To give an over view of the game. How the game is going to be play.
2- Include the vocabulary. The game has to be based on their vocabulary words ( some words may be added but they have to be clothes related). Use colors
3- Work with sentences, when explaining the game to the other students use full sentences in Spanish
4- Review and expand before finalizing the board game
8th grade Unit 4 week of 1-7-19
In this the students will review the clothing, the verb to like and the reflexive pronouns.
Students will learn to describe the sizes of the clothing, how the clothes fits and what kind of materials are the clothes made of.
By the end of this unit the students will be able to say what kind of clothes they like, how it fits, if they like some pieces of clothig or not.
We will play memory and create a game about the clothing.

Students will play "walking bingo" in which they have to go around the school asking questions to fill out their bingo cards to get a black out.
Bingo includes: interrogative words, verbs, colors, family members, professions, household goods, there is and there are and rooms around the house.
